Capt. Mike reported fluke fishing was on the slow side today. The subsiding swell from the south east had not quite subsided enough to boost the fluke into high gear but the water clarity was dramatically improved from last night. We caught fish everywhere we went today they were just not enthusiastically feeding. A few nice fish to 4lbs and some shorts were managed by the anglers aboard. Best results by far were with the tandem bait rig. Capt. Mike reported marking a remarkable amount of squid all the way from the gap down to west of the breachway and Roger managed several squid today in between the fluke. By far the best showing of squid on the sounder we have seen all season so things should be busting loose any day now. We try again tomorrow and Capt. Mike looks forward to a new day on the fluke grounds Saturday on the Lady Frances setting sail at 7am.
