Capt. Rich sailed for cod both days this weekend and while they managed a few, the action was far from what it had been. A few ocean perch and a pollock and some short cod but overall quite quiet. Therefore we will be done cod fishing until probably sometime in September. We would like to thank all the anglers who sailed with us who made this past winter and spring cod fish season the sucess that it was.
Capt. Ray reported a decent night of squid fishing although they required a bit more finesse than some of the previous nights. Pete and Connie filled a five gallon pail and those who stayed at it and worked all through the night did around a half bucket or so. Some anglers did have less but everyone got some squid. Like any other fishery some nights they are easier to catch than others but overall the night was sucessful. Capt. Ray looks forward to the beautiful weather forecast for Wednesday evening and the he will be ready to set sail on the Lady Frances at 7pm.
