Capt. Mike called in to relay that the Memorial Day Weekend Capt. Special was very good with plenty of nice market cod and market size pollock to go around with a few nice haddock thrown in for good measure. Congrats to Lisa Loprenzo from Stamford CT who took the pool with a cod in the low to mid teens!! Lisa also had her limit of cod everyday, way to go Lisa! Capt. Mike reported that most of the damage was done on jigs and teasers but that some fish were taken by those choosing to dunk bait.
Capt. Ray reported squid fishing was a touch more relaxed overall last night but respectable nonetheless. A great turnout of enthusiastic anglers aboard the boat but results were mixed with some anglers really excelling with a half to even three quaters of a five gallon pail and some having much less. Some short fluke, big sea robins, skates and some trophy sea bass were all released to fight another day in the finfish department. Still will go down in the logs as a good trip and Capt. Ray looks forward to another nice night of squid fishing with hopefully a lot less fog this coming Wednesday Night at 7pm. Please call the office if interested in booking a reservation.
