Capt. Rich had another great day aboard the Lady Frances today. Once again there were at least several limit catches and many other of the anglers aboard went home with four to six good size fluke apiece. A few angler hi lights include Mr. Pak from NYC who easily limited out and took the pool with a fine 7lb slab. There was a solid 8lbr but the gentleman was not in the pool. Christine Blount had an awesome day as well easily limiting out on jumbo fluke to over 6lbs! Well done Boss!! Dr. Frank from Guilford Ct also came on strong to limit out in the late innings of today’s fishing trip. Way to go Dr. Frank, who has been a regular customer at the Frances Fleet for many many years. A few blue fish and some out of season sea bass completed the day’s haul. Bucktail rigs of various nature were the ticket with wind vs tide and slow drift this morning but as the drift picked up bait rigs and whole squid stole the show in the afternoon. Capt. Rich looks forward to another good day on the water tomorrow with the Lady Frances setting sail at 7am. Some pics from today’s deep water fluke adventure will be posted in a bit on our thread at www.noreast.com.
Unfortunately no squid trip tonight due to a lack of interest. Too bad as the fishing remains very good and the squid have yet to spawn so they are still feeding quite heartily. Tomorrow night looks better already and call the office if interested as the squid trip will be set to sail at 7pm with Capt. Ray.
