Capt. Ray reported last night’s squid fishing was unfortunately hampered by the weather. The so called “chance” of scattered showers and thunderstorms turned out to be an outright almost all night deluge and coupled with some frisky southerly breezes at times made for an unpleasant night to stand at the rail in full rain gear to say the least! Nevertheless those who stood out there to braved the elements were rewarded with some squid, mixed sizes. A lot of squid could again be seen on the sounder and up on the surface towards the end of the night so there is still a tremendous amount of squid on the local grounds and there is still no sign of a spawn yet either. We try again tonight in much more pleasant weather conditions with the Lady Frances set to sail at 7pm. Please call the office to make a reservation.
