Capt. Richie called in to report and fantastic day of fluke fishing despite the lack of drift… most anglers had 4-6 keepers a piece with some limits… Dave from CT. had the pool fish weighing in at 8lbs. With the slow drift, spro jigs were the way to go today.
Capt Mike reported that the morning half day had a nice handful of keepers up to 5 lbs with lots of shorts mixed in. Slow drifting made the fishing tough but Capt. Mike made it happen.
Capt Matt called in saying that the drift had picked up in the afternoon and fishing was even better with a larger handful of keepers and shorts to go around.
I would also like to let you know that this was Captain Matt’s first solo trip with fantastic results… we will be looking forward to great things out of this young man.
