Capt. Richie reported a solid day of fishing despite some windy weather and slightly sporty seas at times. Mr. Pak easily limited out and took the pool with a fine slab of over 9lbs while another angler also had his limit without breaking a sweat. A good number of the other anglers went home with several keepers apiece and just about everyone went home with at least dinner. Still quite a few nice jumbo fluke in the mix. More and more blue fish showing up as well providing some extra sport and extra digging in those tackle boxes for some extra fluke rigs as well. The usual out of season sea bass to toss back but now its only 11 days away til they can go over the rail and in the pail! Capt. Mike looks forward to a good day on the water tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
Capt. Keith reported a very good half day morning trip with a big mess of keepers to 27 inches and 8 lbs and plenty of shorts to keep things very busy. The afternoon trip did not have as many keepers but anglers had lots of action with the short fluke as well which kept the rods bent and the anglers paying attention at the rail. Tomorrow is July 1st so the half day schedule going forward will be daily 8am to Noon and 4pm to 8pm with the 1pm to 5pm trip ONLY on Monday through Wednesdays.
Plenty of room on tomorrow night’s Striper trip. Capt. Ray will be at the helm, set to sail on the Lady Frances at 7pm, fishing was outstanding last week and we are hoping for a repeat Call the office to book a spot.
