First mate Capt. Matt reported that the 7am full day fishing was as good if not better than anyone could possibly expect. Over 200 big sea bass up to 6lbs pleased the anglers aboard along with over 80 keeper fluke including more than ten, yes ten to perhaps as many as 15 fish over 8lbs with the pool fish around or just a shade over 12lbs!!!! Just a sick day of fishing!! The number of big fluke over 8 and 10lbs and up hitting the decks on the Gail Frances is simply staggering so far this season!!! Capt. Rich looks forward to another good day tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7pm.
Reports today were available for the one to five and four to eight pm half days…The 1pm half day saw slower fishing but still managed a good amount of keeper fluke while the evening half day saw a great mix of keeper fluke and nice size sea bass and a tremendous amount of action with short fluke to keep everyone on their toes and busy at the rails. Tuesday is also a three time half day day here at Frances Fleet with half days departing at 8am, 1pm and again at 4pm. Remember if one decides to do back to back half days we will gladly take ten dollars off the second half day outing.
