Capt. Rich reported a good day of fluking again today with over 100 good size fluke to 8lbs and lots of fish over 4lbs once again. A few good size helpings of all nice size sea bass to over 4lbs and a couple scup and blue fish to top off the great catch of summer flatties. First mate Chris reported that there were a few limits and that quite a few anglers had several good size keepers apiece to take home. When the drift was faster today the bait rigs on long leaders were key but when condtions were slower the bucktails seemed to have an edge. Capt. Rich looks forward to another good day tomorrow with the Gail Frances ready to set sail at 7am.
Capt. Keith reported the morning half day found some nice keepers to 5lbs today along with a few hefty sea bass. Not as many shorts today so things were a bit less busy overall but the keeper ratio was much improved.
Capt. Mike reported his full day charter on the Admiral Frances for the IBEW group headed by Jeff Neurath enjoyed a beautiful day on the water but the fluke were not as cooperative as they had hoped for. Nevertheless some nice fish to 5lbs and a few nice sea bass provided some tasty fillets for some good future dining.
Capt. Matt reported his solo debut at the wheel on tonight’s 4 to 8pm outing was a great success in more ways than one. Biggest fish was 8lbs and there were some other nice keepers plus a few good size sea bass and plenty of shorts to keep the anglers busily attending their rods at the rail. Two half day trips on tap for tomorrow with the first set to sail at 8am and the next at 4pm.
