Capt. Rich mates Chris and Ted reported a very good day of fishing. There were no fluke limits today but there were some very good catches of big fluke made. The pool fish was yet another in a never ending series it seems of double digit fish with Dan Hazen from N. Attleboro MA taking the pool with a fine 10.7lb slab. The big summer flounder, measuring 30.5 inches in length, fell victim to a 1.5z glo spro tipped with a pork rind. Pay attention folks who are keeping track of what these double digit fish are so frequently being taken on because a large majority of them have fallen victim to the glo spros in the 1 to 3z range and plastic gulp baits. Just something to have amidst your fluke arsenal. The next biggest fish on the boat was just over 9lbs and fell victim to a bucktail as well but the specific type was not mentioned. A good number of other jumbo fluke came aboard today and a fairly decent numbers of the anglers aboard had three to five nice fluke apiece to take home. Quite a few nice sea bass up to 4lbs plus as well with hi hook honors on the sea bass going to Barbara from Guilford CT who had nearly ten good size sea biscuts to take home for many fine meals to come. Well done Barbara! Capt. Rich looks forward to the great weather forecasted tomorrow and more good fishing with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
