Capt. Rich reported another awesome day of fluke and sea bass fishing today with a moderate crowd of anglers putting 150 good size fluke to 12lbs and over 100 nice sea bass up to 5lbs on the deck and into the bags and coolers on the Gail Frances today. Needless to say there were many fluke limits but the numbers did vary somewhat from angler to angler. Sea bass numbers varied as well but a number of anglers aboard had upwards to a half dozen nice sea bass apiece to take home. The pool fish today was the behemoth 12lb slab taken by longtime regular customer Mr. Kim from the NY metro area. Mr. Pak from NJ had the next biggest fish of the day with a slab around 9lbs. Quite a few other nice jumbo fluke in the four to seven plus pound range as well mixed in amongst all the other nice keepers. A few other angler hi lights today include but are not limited to the following: Longtime regular customer Roger from Bristol CT who easily limited out on nice fluke to 7lbs and had a half dozen good size sea bass to boot while Jim from NJ also had his limit of summer flatties to over 7lbs and the aforementioned Mr. Kim who easily limited out and as you all know by now had the pool winning 12lbr plus a few hefty sea bass to go with. Sounds like bucktails were more or less the way to go today especially with the slower drift conditions that plagued anglers through a good part of the trip but nonetheless the big fluke and sea bass were eagerly eating! Capt. Rich looks forward to another good day on the water tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
