Capt. Rich reported another great day of sea bass and fluking on the 7am full day boat. A modest group of anglers put 125 keeper fluke and 100 plus good size sea bass into the bags and coolers of the patrons today. Needless to say there were many limits all around the boat with limit catches on both bucktail set ups and bait rigs including standard rental rod set ups. Capt. Rich and first mate Chris reported they had ideal drift condtions today. Again a lot of jumbo fish over 4lbs and many of the sea bass were nice fish over 2lbs with the best well over 4lbs. Chris Peterson from LI,NY took today’s pool with a 29 inch fish that went around 9.5lbs. This fine slab was taken on a white spro bucktail. Capt. Rich looks forward to more fine fishing weather and good fishing tomorrow as the Gail Frances is set to sail at 7am.
Capt. Chris reported a very good morning half day. Anglers were treated to an excellent number of keeper fluke with the biggest around six pounds and several others over 4lbs. Just a lot of quality fish was the report with three long hour drifts keeping the anglers busy all through the trip. Only one sea bass. Two half day trips on tap for tomorrow with the first to set sail at 8am and the second to set sail at 4pm.
