Capt. Ray reported an awesome day of fishing around BI today with out of this world sea bass fishing and plenty of nice porgies. Biggest sea bass were in the 5lb range and there were quite a few in the 3 to 4.5lb range. Lots of double headers big sea bass with the majority of the anglers aboard easily limiting out on the tasty relatives of the southern grouper. Plenty of nice porgies up to 1.5lbs with Tom from Belchertown easily limited out on both scup and sea bass today. Quite a few big good eating size ocean perch in the mix as well today. Best part was there was not a drop of rain today and we drifted all day in relatively calm seas! A great trip enjoyed by a mere handful of anglers who braved a very very erroneous weather forecast today. A couple pics to showcase angler hi lights will be posted above this report courtesy of Roger. Capt. Ray looks forward to another good day of porgy and sea bass fishing tomorrow with the Admiral Frances set to sail at 8am.
