Capt. Rich reported a very nice day on the water with a pleasant turnout of cod/sea bass enthusiasts. The fishing while okay was not quite as good as we had hoped for and was a step back fromm the last few trips. Nevertheless the anglers did chip away at some keeper cod, some sea bass and a bunch of big porgies. Again a lot of undersize cod today as well, seems there are a lot of young cod just about everywhere. Hi hook was Dan H from Narragansett who iced four fine keeper cod. Nothing big today with the best approaching the ten pound mark. A few nice blue fish and two impressive fluke were taken today with one going 7.5lbs and the other 4lbs. Next possible cod/sea bass trip will sail weather permitting Friday at 7am on the Gail Frances. Make sure to check back with us tomorrow afternoon as to the status of this possible outing.
Capt. Mike reported an excellent day of togging. Not far from a full boat limit today with sizes to 8lbs and a half dozen nice keeper cod to boot! As stated in the headlines there is no fishing trip tomorrow so the tog get a day off. Next scheduled trip sets sail Friday at 6am on the Lady Frances. Just be sure to check back with us tomorrow afternoon to double check on the weather for Friday’s run.
