Capt. Rich reported a very good day of fishing despite the rather breezy conditions. A much much better showing of nice green cod today to go along with all the good size sea bass up to four pounds. Hi hook on the cod was Mr. Pak from NJ who iced five fine keepers to ten pounds and easily had his limit of good size sea bass to boot. Kumio from Farmington Ct was pleased to win the pool with a fine cod of 15lbs today and Kumio was also quite pleased with his full limit catch of big black sea bass. A number of other sea bass limits were observed and there was once again a lot of short cod released. There were a few scup and a handful of blue fish and one red hake to top off the sea bass and cod haul. We try again tomorrow with Capt. Rich set to sail on the Gail Frances at 7am. Looking ahead Monday is looking like a nice weather day and we most certainly plan on sailing for cod and sea bass as well on Monday, November 21st at 7am.
Capt. Mike reported a good day of togging despite just a little too much fresh air. A few really nice tog in the 8 to 9lb range plus plenty of other quality fish. Jacob from Long Island NY easily limited out on nice tog today. Quite a few shorts as well to keep anglers busy. Not nearly as many cod today but still a few nice green cod to spice things up. The cod will come in waves on the tog boat but it would be prudent to be prepared for cod for when they are around as the fishing can be quite good as was very clearly evidenced on several trips already the past two weeks. Clams will be provided on all tog trips. Capt. Mike looks forward to another day on the water tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 7am.
