Capt. Mike reported an all out full boat limit crush of tog to 9lbs today along with a very healthy showing of nice green cod into the very low teens. Just an awesome day of fishing for the light crowd of anglers aboard. Remarkable to have such good togging into the second week of December, thanks to the unusually warm waters this late fall. Capt. Mike looks forward to another great day of weather and fishing tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 6am.
Capt. Rich reported once again plenty of sea bass limits all around the Gail Frances today. Lots of quality fish in the jumbo category today with again many over the three pound mark and some bigger ones to the nearly six pound pool winner. Both bait and jigs were effective on the sea bass today. Quite a few nice size scup mixed in as well with quite a few limit catches of the feisty silver saltwater pan fish noted as well. As far as cod went we took a step back from the small gains we made yesterday. Just a handful of keepers and that is what they were, keepers. Plenty of little cod to let go which is nice. A few red hake and a couple of Christmas Eels including one nearly five feet long! A mess of ocean perch and that about sums up the day’s events. Tomorrow is a new day and Capt. Rich looks forward to the great weather more good fishing with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am. A couple pics appear courtesy of Roger above today’s report.
