Capt. Mike reported another strong day of very late inning togging today on the Lady Frances. Around a half dozen or so limit catches today with a number of anglers doing just a bit less and the vast majority going home with enough fresh black fish for a good meal or two anyway. A nice handful of fat green cod caught in as little as 40 ft of water today complimented the tog catch nicely. Plenty of short tog kept the anglers busy and amused at the rails in between the keepers as well. Jacob from LI had a great day easily limiting out on nice tog to at least 7lbs plus put a fine fat cod in his cooler while Kevin from NY limited out on big tog to nearly 9lbs just to name a few. The pool tog was just over 9lbs and it was a very close competition between three nice chinners. Both clams and crabs produced nice size tog today. Some pics appear above today’s report. Capt. Mike is pleased to get out after the tog again tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 6am.
Capt. Rich will be setting sail aboard the Gail Frances tomorrow morning at 7am for cod and sea bass. Fishing has been good so come on down!
