Capt. Cory relayed word that the customers today enjoyed a respectable day of cod fishing in some brilliant January sunshine and mild temperatures. The cod were hard earned however. There were no limits today but some angler hi lights are as follows: Kevin and Dave from JB Niantic each iced a half dozen nice green cod while Troy and his brother combined for 8 nice green cod. Tom Mitchell and Ron Dohan both iced several nice green cod today as well and so on. Biggest fish was 20lbs. There were also two monkfish to 20lbs along with a nice bunch of mackerel and some good size ling. Both bait and jigs worked but as has been the case the metal had the edge. Tomorrow looks like another fine day for fishing and Capt. Mike will be ready to set sail on the Lady Frances at 5am.
