Capt. Mike reported it was quite a wild day out on the local cod grounds with a cod bite that was more brisk than the southwesterly breeze that was frosting the waves and making for some advanced sport today on the boat. But the bite was on and several anglers out of the very light crowd of anglers aboard easily limited out on nice green market cod today with everyone doing well. Nothing huge but consitantcy is key with biggest fish for the day in the lower teens. Troy was hi hook today with 22 kepers (orl) and several other anglers easily had their limits or better (orl). Pretty much all on bait today. Again despite the different wind direction the bite continued to be best up towards the front of the boat but was a bit more spread out than previous days. Capt. Mike looks forward to another nice day of weather and fishing on the local cod grounds tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 5am. A few pics posted courtesy of a couple local cod enthusiasts.
