Monday Afternoon March 19th 2012

Capt. Mike reported the local cod fishing was slightly improved today. The weather was awesome so I guess considering both factors we could call it a good day. More keepers and quite a few shorts today. Hi hook had five keepers with another guy gettting three and the majority of anglers leaving with a dinner fish anyways. Plenty of big to super size ocean perch mixed in today with yesterday’s uber perch likely eclipsed with a 18.5 inch specimen that easily went three pounds! Wow!! A few really nice size red hake mixed in as well today. Not many but those taken were true baseball bats. More awe inspiring weather on tap for tomorrow and Capt. Mike will be ready to set sail at 5am aboard the Lady Frances with the office open at 4am for ticket sales. A few pics provided today by one of our resident cod enthusiasts.
