Saturday Morning April 7th 2012 update

The report from Capt. Cory yesterday was that the local cod fishing was not what had been hoped for. A few good fish up to 20lbs but not nearly enough cooperative cod to go around for the respectable turnout of anglers who came out to enjoy a Good Friday of local codding. A mess of good size ocean perch and a few handfuls of ling helped a little to take the sting out of the slow day of fishing. The Frances Fleet would like to wish all of its customers a very happy Easter Weekend. The boat is out today so hopefully there will be some good news later today. There is no trip tomorrow due to the observance of Easter. Starting Monday we will have a new schedule sailing Monday, Wednesday, Friday and the weekends for cod 6am to 330pm. As always please call the office the day before to double check on the weather and to make a reservation.
