Much better squid fishing was the report from Capt. Cory for the small handful of anglers that decided to join us. Fishing was more or less on par with Friday Night with most anglers doing 15 to 20 pieces apiece and mostly good size stuff. Less of a moon tide certainly made a difference as well. Right now next squid trip is tentatively on Wednesday Night however the weather does look questionable so stay tuned for further updates.
Yesterday’s fluking continued the theme of early May fishing. Nothing big either. We expect the fluking to really pick up once we get some more sustained spring like weather. Capt. Mike is out today so look for a full report a bit later this evening. Next Fluke trip is tentatively set for tomorrow morning at 7am on the Gail Frances with Capt. Mike. Give a call this afternoon to double check on the weather. One pic from yesterday appears courtesy Capt. Mike and features none other than the best rod and reel multi species ground fisherman that fishes with us, the one and only Mr. Pak with his first south shore keeper of the season.
