Capt. Mike called in a great local beach fishing report today with some tremendous action on the fluke. Hi hook took home five keepers with biggest fish 5lbs but the sheer number of shorts kept things busy like the old days along Rhode Island’s south shore. It sounds like fishing was so good that Roger and Frank wished they had gone! Anyways the weather sounds great for tomorrow and Capt. Mike looks forward to another action packed day of fluking on the Lady Frances set to sail at 7am.
Capt. Ray will be out squidding tonight. I was able to finally track down a full report on last night’s activity this evening and was told that the squid fishing was good for awhile but was interrupted by shoals of small blue fish once again. Capt. Ray and Troy both said there was tons of squid all over the place but they were skittish due to the predators. Still the anglers aboard managed a fair amount of the tasty mollusks with Pete and Connie combining for a good half a bucket. Anglers did boat a mix of fin fish along with the squid including catch and release big sea bass, a few short fluke, cocktail blue fish and a few jumbo scup. Full report of tonight’s action will appear tomorrow morning.
