The word from first mate Troy was of very good squid fishing last night for the handful of anglers who came out to join us on the Gail Frances. Generally from 1/3 to 1/2 bucket of squid per angler. In fact Capt. Ray was working on a second pail! Predators were not around as much last night and therefore the fishing was much improved. The catch of squid was much more spread out around the boat. There were no details on the fin fish side of things or if anyone even tried as it sounds like the squid action kept the anglers busy.
Overall with the exception of last Saturday Night and to some degree Wednesday evening, the squid fishing has picked up DRAMATICALLY over the past week and a half. There is a tremendous amount of squid around right now and the crowds have been very light and there is PLENTY of room on the night squid trips all weekend. Call the office to make a reservation or book online.
