First mate Troy reported that while the squid fishing was certainly much better last night than the last time we were out it probably could be classified at best as being “fair”. Hi hook had around 30 pieces and most anglers had a good handful or two of the tasty mollusks to take home so they were more spread out among the anglers than in some other recent outings however it was just a very slow chip. There were squid of all sizes all over the place so there is certainly no shortage of them, we just need them to turn on a bit more. Plenty of room on tonight’s trip so if interested book online or call the office to make an official reservation. Capt. Ray will be ready to set sail at 7pm aboard the Lady Frances.
Capt. Mike is out on his way to the fluke grounds today and there were quite a few big fish taken yesterday. Hopes are high for more of the same today! Full report to follow later this afternoon.
