First mate Troy was elated to report that Capt. George engineered an all out assault on the fluke and sea bass on the PM half day yesterday. He kept the momentum going right where he left off on the 8am full day and the anglers aboard yesterday evening steered one nice fluke after another into the net. A nice mess of sea bass to go along with those fluke as well. Andy and his group from CT had a big bag of fillets so full that it looked as if they had gone on a great cod trip! Plenty of fine dining to come there folks!! Hi hook last night had FIVE keeper fluke and a few nice sea bass. Now that is some great half day fishing!! Biggest fluke was just shy of 6lbs and biggest sea bass just around or under 3lbs. The 4pm half day is offered Monday through Saturday. Capt. Mike will set sail on the next brace of half days today at 8am and again at 1pm.
The report from the Striper trip was just alright last night. Lack of tide for a good part of the evening was to blame. Nevertheless a respectable number of bass into the mid and upper teens plus a couple blue fish went into the x tote. Next Striper trip is set to sail this coming Wednesday evening at 7pm by reservation with Capt. Ray.
