Captain Matt reported a very good day on the 8-3 boat. A very light turn out but everyone went home with a nice bag of fish. The average catch was 5 fish a man. Bait rigs did the trick in the morning and then the bucktail took over in the afternoon. The pool fish was around 6 pounds. The 8-3 boat will be sailing Wed-Saturday this week.
First Mate Chris reported a good day on the 7-4 boat. While it was a good day the fish were not spread out at all. The pulpit and then stern seemed to be where all the action was. Spros jigs were also the way to go. Once some people got dialed in with the spros it was lights out. Many limits of fluke. Some nice fat 6pounds slabs battles it out for the pool as well as nice sea bass over 5 pounds. Captain Amanda and Captain “JP” from the Osprey V had no problems limiting out and a nice bag of sea bass to go along. Captain Rich will set sail tomorrow morning at 7Am.
Captain Mike reported a slower morning on the half day boat due to poor drift conditions. Some fluke made it in to the coolers as well as some nice sea bass. The afternoon was a different story. Customers were treated to nice local fluke “slabs” as well as some bomber sea bass. Much better drift conditions made for a much more enjoyable afternoon.
