Roger was elated to report that not only did the 8am to 3pm sail today but the fishing was excellent with lots of nice size fluke to 6lbs and very good numbers of jumbo sea bass to 4lbs for the small group of anglers who enjoyed a gorgeous day on the water with plenty of elbow room to boot. There was one angler limit on the fluke and that fella also had 7 big sea bass to 4lbs to go along with his summer flatties. Another angler with a rental rod had six nice keeper fluke and a few nice sea bass and one other fella put a half dozen good size fluke and several nice sea bass in his cooler. Everyone had a nice mix of keeper fluke and sea bass. Some short fluke to keep anglers on their toes but the majority of fluke were keepers. Young Westin from CT took the pool with a fine 6lb slab. Way to go Westin! Rental rod bait rigs and whole squid were the top producers today. Capt. Matt and Capt. Sean made sure that all anglers aboard had a great time out on the water today. While there was no 8am to 3pm tomorrow due to a last minute scheduling change, going forward the 8am to 3pm boat will sail Thursday through Saturday’s for the rest of the summer.
