First mate Capt. Matt reported a good day of fishing on the 7am full day. There were several limits on the fluke and there were also a number of anglers who were not far behind. Not as many sea bass in the mix today but still a good number of nice size sea biscuits. Nothing huge with the biggest fluke just over 6lbs. Spros were the ticket today for the anglers who really were experienced at using them. Whole squid also was effective but was a distant second. Good fishing weather again tomorrow with Capt. Rich ready to set sail on the Gail Frances at 7am.
For those who did not read the earlier post, the cod fish trip for Sunday (tomorrow) is canceled. We try again next Sunday. Reservations are strongly urged. There were a lot of calls today but it was just too late. Again we try again next Sunday.
