Roger was pleased to report of another good combo with Capt. George although things worked out a bit differently. The night started with a chip of big fluke to 7lbs and jumbo sea bass to 4lbs. Then we anchored up and the squid fishing for some was about as good as it gets! Troy with just a little help from Roger filled a four gallon pail within just an hour of fishing!! However on the anchor for whatever reason the sea bass bite was just not happening like it did the night before. Every night is different on the combo. A handful of big blue fish to nearly 15lbs and a four foot long plus conger eel added some spice to things as well. Squid were marked ten to twenty feet thick on the recorder and were all over the water column aggressively feeding. Doubles were the norm with a few triple and even a quadruple header! Next brace of combos sail Friday and Saturday Night this coming weekend at 7pm by reservation. Pics are provided courtesy of Roger.
Capt. Chris reported a very good 4pm half day yesterday with a nice mix of fluke to 5lbs and sea bass to 4lbs plus a good number of shorts to keep things interesting. Today we offer two half day trips with one at 8am and the next at 1pm.
Word from the Striper trip was of substantially better results than the night before along with a great turnout of Striper enthusiasts. Very few blue fish. Some better size fish in addition to the improved numbers with two 20lbrs fighting it out for the pool. Next Striper trip sets sail with Capt. Ray at 7pm on the Lady Frances this coming Wednesday.
