Capt. Cory reported that Capt. Mike W had a great night of fishing on the combo last night. As the combo is never the same two nights in a row it seems last night the porgies took center stage with plenty of nice size porgies to bend the rods along with a handful of keeper fluke, keeper sea bass and a dozen blue fish to ten pounds. Those who fished for squid caught well once again and there was squid “everywhere”. Also providing fast and furious action were the smaller harmless sand sharks which unlike their dangerous spiny cousins provide great sport and are lots of fun to catch on fluke style tackle. It was just one heck of an action packed night and tonight Capt. George will be taking the combo out at 7pm aboard the Admiral Frances.
The report from the Striped Bass trip is as follows: A respectable amount of keepers and thus a fairly decent outing overall with the biggest Bass in the mid twenties. Some great pics posted courtesy of first mate Ian. While we do allow braided line for anglers bringing their own rods, YOU MUST USE A LONG TOP SHOT!! THE STRIPED BASS CREW WILL HELP YOU WITH THIS SHOULD THERE BE ANY QUESTIONS. Plenty of room on tonight’s Striper trip so book online for the next few hours or call the office to make a reservation. Capt. Ray will be set to sail tonight at 7pm on the Lady Frances.
