The report from first mate Chris K on the Striper boat was of a good trip with a lot of quality bass taken once again. Biggest fish was in the mid to upper 20s and there were several fish taken in that size range. Quite a good week of Bass fishing overall. Next Striper trip is set to sail this coming Wednesday Night with Capt. Ray at 7pm on the Lady Frances.
First mate Cote reported the combo was okay last night. Great weather and a nice turnout of combo enthusiasts but the fish were not quite as cooperative as the night before. Nevertheless a mixed bag of fluke and sea bass and some blue fish and squid pleased anglers. A couple of anglers who dialed in on the squid once again did quite well and the amount of squid around so late into summer remains impressive. Well every night on the combo seems a bit different. Next brace of combo trips sail this coming Friday and Saturday Night at 7pm by reservation.
Capt. Chris reported the 4pm half day was decent last night with lots of action and a nice mix of keeper fluke and nice size sea bass for the anglers aboard. Today we have half day outings at 8am and again at 1pm on the Lady Frances with Capt. Matt.
Capt. Matt and Capt. Mike W reported a great half day (evening) charter for a group of Capt. Matt’s friends. An excellent mix of fluke to at least six pounds and a handful of nice size sea bass pleased the anglers aboard and all hands left with a nice bag of fillets.
