Capt. Rich reported a great day of fishing on the 7am full day. There were many limits on the fluke and a nice pile of big sea bass mixed in with the fluke limits. Nearly 200 keeper fluke and sea bass combined for a relatively small group of anglers. Add to that a few blue fish and some big porgies to 2lbs and it was one heck of a trip! Sounds like all terminal gear was effective today. Not as many jumbo fluke today but plenty of quality keepers with fish just under 4lbs rather common. A few in the six to seven pound range to duke out bragging rights. There was some rain in the morning and there was a ground swell but it had little effect on the fishing and those who were afraid of the scary weather forecast missed out one a very good day of fishing. We can thank the weatherman for that! Capt. Rich looks forward to more good fishing tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
Capt. Mike reported a solid half day effort this morning with a nice mix of keeper fluke and a few nice sea bass. Capt. George is out now on the 4pm half day so look for that report tomorrow morning. Sunday’s half day schedule is for the first trip at 8am and the second trip to set sail at 1pm. Remember if one chooses to do back to back trips he or she can receive a $15 discount off the second trip!
Striped Bass will be setting sail at 7pm so look for a fresh report on that tomorrow morning as well. Plenty of room on tonight’s run if anyone wants to come down and jump on the Lady Frances with Capt. Ray. Results this past week were not quite as good as the past several weeks but tonight is a new night so we will see what happens.
