Capt. Rich reported an extremely successful trip aboard the Gail Frances today! Many anglers left with their limit of fluke, while others left with coolers respectably full. The pool winning fluke was around 11lbs, and there were 3 fish in the 10lb range. Capt. Matt reported another dozen fluke over 7 lbs. On top of the fabulous fluke catch, the decks of the Gail Frances were graced by many nice seabass of varying sizes, as well as some smallish scup and a few blues. Spros were productive all day, though long bait rigs were quite effective during the faster drifts. The Gail Frances will be sailing again tomorrow at 7am.
Capt. Mike reported a pair of good half day trips too: The 8-12 trip saw some nice fluke to 4lbs and a fair number of black sea bass, while the afternoon trip was reported to be “slammin'” by First Mate Troy. According to him, the majority of fish were sea bass (which appeared in droves!), followed by scup. Some nice fluke up to 4.5lbs were caught as well. Tomorrow’s half day schedule: 8am – 12pm, 1 – 5pm and 4 – 8pm.
The forecast looks very promising, so don’t miss out on some of this great fishing!
