Capt. Cory reported the Night Striper trip last night was off to a rock star start with the first couple drifts producing some nice size fish and in general a good number of keepers but then the drift died and so did the bass fishing. Nevertheless a respectable catch was made with fish of over 35lbs, 25lbs and a few other fish around 20lbs hilighting the evening. Congrats to Ginny Reed who took the pool with a fine line sider over 35lbs!! Well done Ginny!! A bunch of bluefish mixed in as well. Some pictures are provided courtesy of Capt. Cory and longtime customer Ginny Reed. Next Bass trip is set to sail at 7pm this coming Wednesday with Capt. Ray aboard the Lady Frances.
Just a friendly reminder to our customers about bringing extra rods. The policy is one rod per person at the rail, now we understand with fluking or codding about bringing two rods (one for a back up etc) however this is party boat fishing. We will not tolerate “fencing” off three or four spots for one person with three or four rods lined up in a row. When crowds are light extra rods can be at times stored in free rod holders on deck per the crew’s permission. Some days are busier than others and require only one rod at the rail per person. Please see one of the deck hands to store away your extra rod(s). Thanks to all of our customers in advance for their attention to this matter.
Capt. Matt had a noteworthy half day on the 4pm yesterday. There was a great catch of fluke and sea bass with the biggest fluke around five pounds and everyone went home with something for dinner.
