First mate Chris reported a slower day on the 7-4 fullday boat. Total lack of drift really affected the fluke bite today. Spro jigs seemed to be the way to go for the fluke that made it in to the boat. A fine 8 and a half pound slab took the pool honors today. A few nice sea bass and scup rounded out the day. There was also 2 cod that came in to the boat with 1 being safely released. A picture perfect day on the water. Captain rich will set sail tomorrow morning at 7am
Captain Matt reported very good local seabass fishing on the half day trips. The largest seabass of the day was over 4 pounds. There will be 3 half day trips sailing tomorrow.
Captain Kyle and Captain Cory capatalized on the nice weather by going out looking for some Scup and boy did they find them. they even said it was some of the best scup fishing they had ever seen. Nice jumbo scup to over 2 pounds and double headers were the norm. We are looking forward to our scup trips starting on Sept 1st.
