Roger reported the Gardy Duplesse charter skippered by Capt. Chris for the folks from Stu Leonard’s in Danbury CT today was a great success. The porgy fishing was good with plenty of big hubcap size scup swung over the rails and into the pails and burlap sacks. Not quite the slaughter of yesterday as predators both Stripers and Blue fish made their presence known at times. Still a great day of fishing with a decent number of the anglers aboard doing 20 to 30 big scup apiece. Most of the fish were in the 1 to 1.5lb range with a few slammers to just over 2lbs recorded. A handful of keeper sea bass showed up today along with a nice Striper and several good size blue fish. We would like to thank Gardy and crew for coming down and enjoying the day with us here at the Frances Fleet and some extra special thanks from the crew for all the Stu Leonard’s goodies that the group was generous to share with us. They were very yummy!! The weather turned out to be much nicer than forecast as well with just a few light showers and some breaks of sun and a refreshing southerly breeze. Tomorrow we will be ready to set sail again with two full day trips offered. The Gail Frances will be set to sail at 7am with Capt. Rich and the Admiral Frances will be ready to set sail at 7am with Capt. Ray.
