Cory was elated to report another good day on the local cod grounds. Anglers were treated to a chip of nice healthy green and local brown cod. Some high lights were Anthony with 5 nice cod to 10 pounds, troy had 5 solid keepers to 12 pounds. Other anglers managed 2-4 keepers a piece. The pool fish was about 16 pounds but there was also a fish in the 20 pound class a one tipping the scales at 30 pounds. There was also a pile of scup to 3 pounds and sea bass to 4 pounds. The was also 1 healthy pollock the fell victim to the iron clam. Both biat and jigs worked today but bait had more and larger fish. The dogfish were few and far between. The cod boat will set sail friday at 7am.
The scup is scheduled to sail tomorrow morning at 7am.
