Some more great pics from yesterday’s great cod fish trip will appear with this update courtesy Sandy and Cyrus, longtime regulars, from lower Hudson Valley NY.
Capt. Mike reported the Long Range Tuna trip, while not a bust, was a bit more lack luster than had been hoped for. Things started fairly strong but declined thereafter. A mix of 30 to 50lb Albacore and 60 to 80lb Yellows plus a handful of Mahi (one really nice Mahi) and that was about it. Still a couple openings left on this coming weekend’s Tuna trip but space is going fast so if interested call the office to book as soon as possible.
Word from Capt. Cory is of a good day on the Admiral Frances with a very good shot of nice size porgies in the morning but a slower chip this afternoon. Still when I spoke with him awhile ago many anglers aboard had either limited out or were very close to it. Not many sea bass but a few slammer sea bass in the 4 to 5lb range and a couple blue fish for a bit of variety to the scup. Should there be any updates we will post them shortly. Biggest of the scup around the 2lb mark today. Some pics today are provided courtesy owner Christine Blount who is out porgy fishing today. Next porgy trip is set to sail tomorrow at 7am with Capt. Ray aboard the Admiral Frances.
