Roger reported a brisk but rather eventful day on the local cod grounds with Capt. Rich today. A mixed bag of good eating bottom dwellers that included some nice green and dark cod to 15lbs, several nice pollock to 18lbs (the pool fish), a nice mess of jumbo sea bass to 4lbs, some big porgies to 19 inches and 3lbs, and a few winter flounder which were quickly and gently released due to the closure. Hi hook was a two way tie with four nice cod apiece. Hi hook on the sea bass was close to but just shy of a full limit with several other anglers not all that far behind. Everything was on bait today. Tomorrow’s weather sounds relatively friendly and Capt. Rich will be ready to set sail at 7am aboard the Gail Frances. Just a couple pics provided courtesy of Roger
Capt. Ray looks forward to setting sail for scup tomorrow morning at 7am aboard the Admiral Frances. Roger will have the store open by 5am for check ins and tackle/ticket sales.
