Captain Rich reported a decent day of local cod fishing. The morning started out painfully slow but after Captain Rich moves the boat and set the anchor the fish started to fly over the rails. A nice mix of both fat green cod and dark brown “locals” made it in to the coolers. High hook was long time regular Norm with 4 keepers between 12 and 16 pounds. other angers had 2 and 3 a piece. Not alot for numbers but the fish were all quality size with 12 fish topping the 15 pound mark. The pool fish was a respectable 20 pounds with the largest “slob” going 32 pounds!!! Both bait and the metal did damage on the cod. Some nice scup to 2 pounds and large sea bass to 5 pounds rounded out the day. The cod boat is scheduled to sail at 7am on friday but we do ask for everyone to please call and check on the weather.
