Election Day Tautog fishing proved to be a winner today: Capt. Mike was back at the dock 3 hours early due to the boat completely limiting out with a nice bunch of quality blackfish. Capt. Matt reports that every single fisherman left for home with 6 blackfish to 9 lbs. He adds that this was one of the best days of blackfishing he has seen in several years. Several fishermen even had had tautog double-headers! Aside from the impressive blackfish that made their way over the railing, anglers caught a few cod to 10 lbs.
Wednesday and Thursday are un-fishable due to the weather, but hopefully by Friday things should get back on track. But be sure to give the office a call Thursday afternoon to double check the conditions.
