Capt. Mike reported another excellent day of local tog fishing. The first drop was red hot with the rest of the rock piles tried all producing a nice chip on our favorite crustacean crushing critters. Capt. Cory reported there were lots of limits all around the boat. Sizes were just as impressive as the fishing with five fish in the 10lb plus range with the best at 11lbs. Capt. Mike reported there were also lots of 7 to 9 lb fish as well. Plenty of shorts too to keep things rolling right along. One nice cod as well. Pictures today provided courtesy Capt. Cory. Capt. Mike will be ready to set sail tomorrow at 6am aboard the Lady Frances.
Capt. Rich reported cod fishing today was slightly improved over last Sunday’s trip. Those taken were all green fish with longtime regular Norman taking the pool with a fine green cod just over ten pounds. Blue fish, big porgies, red hake, ocean perch and a keeper fluke rounded out the species assortment for the day. Tomorrow is a new day and Capt. Rich will be armed with fresh clams and ready to set sail at 6am for cod aboard the Gail Frances.
