Capt. Mike reported an really spirited turnout of enthusiastic tog fishermen today on the Lady Frances. The tog did cooperate and there were a respectable number of limits as well, in fact longtime regular customer Jim from Eatontown NJ had his limit with three double header keepers!! Several nice cod to 10lbs today as well. Tremendous action with the short tog to keep the interest level above board. Tomorrow, Veteran’s Day, looks like a beautiful Indian Summer day to go togging and if you would like to join us Capt. Mike will be ready to set sail on the Lady Frances at 6am. All individuals with valid Military ID receive $5 off the ticket price. Pics today are provided courtesy of Capt. Mike.
Roger reported that the cod fishing today was once again ever so slightly improved over the previous outing (yesterday). There were a few more good size scup, a handful of red hake, a few more blue fish of varying sizes, and a handful of good size ocean perch to compliment the slight increase in overall number of cod. Nothing big with the best around or just under ten pounds. A special shout out to Bob Andre who came back hard today with a fine brace of market cod beating out his nephew who was one of the top hooks on their last outing together the Saturday before Sandy. Well done Bob! Bob has been fishing with us at the Frances Fleet for over two decades! We try again tomorrow armed with awesome fresh bait and Capt. Rich will be ready to set sail at 6am aboard the Gail Frances. Pics today are provided courtesy of Roger.
