Capt. Mike reported a respectable day of togging. There were several limit catches and some really nice fish with a 10lb tog beating out a cod of similar weight class. A couple other nice cod today. Loads of shorts kept things rolling and the interest level on the high side. The weather was about as good as it gets this time of year and tomorrow is a new day and Capt. Mike will be ready to set sail on the Lady Frances at 6am. A couple pics provided courtesy of Capt. Mike.
Roger reported that Capt. Rich went a different direction today hoping to find a better showing of cod but despite the incredibly beautiful weather and valiant effort along with optimum drifting conditions the results were not what we had hoped for. Some nice tatoug though today with the best around 7lbs and while the tog were not very spread out around the boat there was one limit catch of tog. A few nice ocean perch, a handful of blue fish and a couple red hake mixed in as well. Stay tuned to the web site as to when the next open boat cod trip will be scheduled to set sail.
