Captain Rich reported a decent day of mixed bag fishing. Anglers were treated to a pile of scup and sea bass(all returned) cod, hake and bluefish. One angler reported that it as good as it gets with the scup and sea bass fishing . A small handful of cod to 10 pounds rounded out the day.This type of mixed bag fishing is quite fun, even though you can not keep the sea bass it still makes for an enjoyable day of catching. Captain rich is schedualed to set sail tomorrow morning at 6am.
Captain Mike again reported very tough blackfishing conditions. The heave that was on Wednesday was still left over and made for some dirty water. as the day went on the water seemed to clear some so Mike is hoping for a better day tomorrow. There were a handful of blackfish and 2 cod to 8 pounds. Some shorts around but nothing like they have been seeing. Captain Mike is scheduled to set sail tomorrow at 6am.
