Captain Mike called in to report another good day of blackfishing. A health crowd of anglers were treated to nice temperatures and calm seas. There were many limit catches all around the boat with high hook catching 10 keepers(orl). The fish seemed to be of a large size today with 5 fish over 9 pounds with the pool fish being a fat 12 pounder! A handful of cod rounded out the day. Captain Mike will be setting sail tomorrow morning at 6am.
Word from Captain Rich was a FANTASTIC day of mixed bag fishing. A very light load of anglers were treated to great weather and even better fishing. Cod were biting both fresh clams as well as the iron clam. High hook honor go to long time regular Ron who jigged up 13 cod!! Next honor went to his fishing partner Frank who had 12. Pool fish was in the low teens. Lots of scup and seabass(all release) also came over the rail. Some anglers also manged to pick up a half dozen nice ling.
Both the Cod boat and the Blackfish boat are scheduled to sail tomorrow. The weather looks good for the next few days but always call the night before to confirm.
