Captain Mike called in to say it was a good first cod trip of the year. A skeleton crew of angers braved the cold temperatures and were treated to solid fishing all day long. High hook managed to ice 8 keepers with the average catch being around 4 fish a man. Lots and lots of shorts kept anglers warm while swinging the jig all day. Most of the fish were caught on jigs but some were also caught on bait. There is starting to be more bait showing up so the jig action should get even hotter. Nothing huge today with the pool fish being around 8 pounds.
The boat will not be sailing tomorrow morning. Please call back to double check the weather for saturday.
