Captain Mike called in to say it was a solid day on the local cod grounds. A decent crowd of anglers faced the morning snow and headed out for a day of fishing. The local cod bite is picking up with every trip. After a slow start to the morning Captain Mike made a long move and the fishing improved. Anglers were treated to a nice jig bite with fish coming up all over the boat. Lots of short fish are keeping the customers busy through out the day. High hook honors went to kevin sellers with 11 keepers with the biggest fish being about 10 pounds. The boat is stocked with jigs as well as clams for those who do not want to jig. Fish are coming up on both jigs and bait.
The boat is scheduled to sail tomorrow morning at 5am. Please call the office today to book your spot on the boat. The office will open up at 4am for ticket and tackle sales.
