Captain Matt called in to say that todays local cod was a vast improvement compared to yesterday. A very light crowd of anglers headed out in to the morning fog in search of some good cod fishing. Both bait and jigs worked today. Captain Mike found more bait the was marking yesterday and found hungry codfish underneath. High Hook had 7 keepers with the average catch being 4-5 a man. Pool fish today was in the lower teens. Mackerel, Ling and large sized perch rounded out the catch.
The weather for the next 2 days looks good and we are scheduled to sail both mornings at 5am. Please call the office at 401 783 4988 and book your spot.
